A charming early 20th-century sterling silver novelty baby's rattle attributed to Crisford & Norris of Birmingham, modelled as a wide-eyed owl with finely detailed plumage. The owl suspends two silver bells and is fitted with its original tapered mother-of-pearl teething handle.
In good antique condition overall, with age-related surface wear. One of the two original bells is compressed/squashed but remains attached.
