Pair of silver lidded butter dishes with frosted glass bowls by Braybrook & Britten. The knobs of the lids in the shape of really charming butter curls. Hallmarked for London 2001.
Braybrook & Britten was a respected British silversmith and jewellery company based in Ealing, London. Established in the 1990s, the family-run firm became known for contemporary sterling silverware, jewellery and distinctive luxury gifts, combining traditional craftsmanship with clean, modern design.
Its silver was hallmarked at the London, Birmingham, Sheffield and Edinburgh Assay Offices, and examples were exhibited at Goldsmiths' Hall. The company produced everything from candlesticks, coasters and drinking vessels to christening gifts and jewellery, often with playful or unusual details.
After some 47 years in the jewellery and silver trade, Braybrook & Britten announced its retirement from active trading.
