A 1920s silver mounted glass inkwell and on a fitted boat-form tray made by Robert Pringle and hallmarked for London 1922.

Robert Pringle was a British silversmith active in the 19th and early 20th centuries. He founded Robert Pringle & Sons in London, known for producing high-quality silverware, jewellery, and pocket watches. The company's hallmark, "RP," was registered in 1882.

Pringle's work was characterised by elegant craftsmanship and durability, making it sought after by collectors today. The firm continued operating well into the 20th century, cementing its reputation in British silversmithing history.
