An amazing 18th century painted carving of St Peter with crook an holding the book of judgement. It's wonderful condition is thanks to it being in a private chapel for the last 300 years.

Saint Peter is often shown dressed as a bishop in his role as the founder of the Church of Rome. The book signifies his position at the pearly gates where he judges one an all.
