Don Jones (1936-2019) was a distinguished British potter renowned for his significant contributions to Winchcombe Pottery. Born and raised in Winchcombe, England, he began his association with the pottery at the age of 12, eventually starting an apprenticeship in 1950 under the mentorship of Ray Finch. ones played a pivotal role in the pottery's operations, especially during challenging periods in the 1950s when issues with clay quality affected production.
His dedication and craftsmanship were celebrated in a posthumous exhibition at the Winchcombe Museum, highlighting his legacy within the local community.
