Quentin Bell (1910-1996) pair of cast wall planters depicting a Greek god and goddess. Produced for the Charleston Restoration Fund circa 1986. Old repair to the goddess.

Purchased from Quentin Bell by his friend and neighbour P Bottomley.

Quentin Bell (1910-1996) was a British art historian, writer, and biographer, best known for his biography of his aunt, Virginia Woolf: A Biography (1972), which remains a definitive account of her life. The son of Clive and Vanessa Bell, he grew up within the Bloomsbury Group, deeply influenced by its intellectual and artistic atmosphere.
