David Leach (1911-2005) was a renowned British studio potter, known for his significant contributions to modern ceramics. The son of famous potter Bernard Leach, he played a crucial role in modernising the Leach Pottery in St Ives, introducing more efficient production techniques while preserving its traditional aesthetic.
David developed a distinctive style, blending Japanese and English influences, and became an influential educator in ceramics. His work, often characterised by simple, elegant forms and subtle glazes, remains highly regarded.
